Position Summary

The Project Manager manages key client projects. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of projects. The project manager will set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize the progress of the projects. Additionally, they will be expected to prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of the project. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. They will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and will hire new talent as needed to fulfill client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise in managing complex projects, coordinating multiple disciplines to achieve objectives
  • Stakeholder Management – Experience creating and presenting all types of project reports including: Project Status, Project Resourcing Plan, Risk Management Plan, Risk Mitigation Plan, Communication Plan, and Milestone Progress reporting. High-level dashboards and regular meetings with stakeholders are available to maintain the highest level of transparency of project status
  • Project Controls – Project schedules are maintained showing actual vs baseline for each project phase as well as the overall project milestone schedule. Mitigation plans are applied to tasks that fall behind schedule.
  • Detail Tracking – Progress Trackers using Google Sheets are updated daily by Area Leads for real-time status reporting for each Work Package task. Google sheet views/dashboards are available to monitor work detail.
  • Application of LEAN to optimize workflows, procedures and processes ensuring the elimination of waste.
  • Familiar with the application of GMP & ISA industry standards including 21 CFR Part 11, S88, S95 and GAMP 5
  • Experience implementing and working with collaboration tools that allow internal and external resources to share information seamlessly. These include tools such as Slack, Trello, Asana, Basecamp, Monday.com, Google Workspace
  • Experience with the design and management of visual Konbon boards to hold daily huddle meetings to coordinate and manage collaboration across the project. Tasks fall into the categories of “To-Do”, “In Progress”, and “Done” so that everyone on the project team is aware of what is expected of them that day (or week). Konbon board items that remain “In progress” state beyond the forecasted time are noted as overdue (RED) and mitigation measures are applied to get back on track.

  • HMI family, ABB DCS 800xA, AVEVA control software, Schneider Electric control system and Honeywell Experion systems.
  • Bus networks including DeviceNet, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus, HART and traditional I/O.
  • MES Technology including Werum PAS X, Emerson Syncade, FactoryTalk PharmaSuite, POMSnet and OSI PI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Computer Science)
  • 5+ years of experience
  • General PM experience
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
