Christopher VanBuskirk brings over seven years of specialized experience in automation, validation, and process qualification within the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. Known for his ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges, Chris has developed and executed validation strategies that ensure regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and successful large-scale system qualifications. His work spans directing validation for state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, implementing robust compliance frameworks, and driving process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce risk.

In his leadership roles at Automated Engineering Services, Chris has guided the qualification of advanced Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and cutting-edge process equipment for biomanufacturing. He has successfully prepared strategic engineering design studies that secured project awards, developed GAMP5-backed training programs to accelerate team readiness, and implemented compliance strategies that improved onboarding and project delivery timelines.

Beyond his work in biotech automation, Chris has managed multimillion-dollar pharmaceutical manufacturing projects, from commercial vial packaging lines to automated syringe inspection systems, ensuring projects met stringent FDA and GAMP5 standards. His early career at Thermo Fisher Scientific saw him leading validation efforts for high-value manufacturing equipment and optimizing site-wide validation programs, which enabled significant revenue growth and operational expansion.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and deep expertise in risk-based validation, regulatory compliance, and process optimization, Chris combines technical rigor with strategic leadership to deliver innovative, compliant, and efficient manufacturing solutions for the life sciences industry.
