Position Summary
The Project Lead will be responsible for the control system solution for an area within a major capEx project, ensuring alignment with overall
program automation philosophy, standards, and user requirements.
Responsibilities
• Technical ownership for an area within the project
• Define S88 software structure for the area
• Develop draft functional design specifications
• Work with system integrators to finalize specifications
• Participate in P&ID and control strategy reviews
• Collaborate with Technical Lead and System Integrators to deliver on
schedule and budget
• Ensure alignment with program automation standards and philosophy
• Maintain consistency across automation deliverables (requirements,
specs, control strategies, phases, recipes)
• Define required software components and modifications
• Communicate progress, risks, and issues to technical leadership
• Review and approve functional requirements and specifications
• Develop parameter and recipe specification documents
• Respond to system integrator technical queries
• Identify and plan remediation for process control software issues
• Track issues and support post-acceptance resolution
• Identify technical risks and define mitigation strategies
• Maintain compliance with required training
Role Requirements
• BS Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years automation experience in pharmaceutical industry (API/bulk
preferred)
• Experience on large pharmaceutical automation projects/programs
• 5+ years DeltaV Batch DCS experience
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs preferred
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and computer
system validation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
