Position Summary

The HR Generalist is a member of the AES Global HR team, providing focused HR support for staff based in AES Europe and Asia. This role will participate in delivering proactive responsiveness and execution of critical HR functions, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders., ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders. In alignment with AES values and internal priorities, the main responsibilities of the HR Generalist will be to support day-to-day administrative functions, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, departure, compensation, benefits, and compliance. This role will report directly to the Global HR Manager and be involved in various other HR administrative functions to support a seamless employee experience. 

Responsibilities & Essential Functions

  • Research, inform, and elaborate on current HR news, compliance, and requirements.
  • Support the employee work cycle from onboarding, induction, and departure. 
  • Support the administration of benefits, including the enrollment and termination of employees in the benefits systems, processing monthly premiums, responding to employee inquiries, and coordinating vendor contract renewal and open enrollment.
  • Support the HR data collection, storage, and archiving in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Review and provide recommendations for work processes and procedures, forms, documents, and internal tools.
  • Support the coordination of HR recruitment processes, including but not limited to the selection processes, coordination of interviews, and organization/tracking of all recruitment documents. 
  • Support the implementation of the Learning & Development framework, in particular by collecting and compiling reports and data: appraisals, training requests, etc.
  • Support the provision of data and preparation of documents for audits.
  • Support with the continuous improvement of HR practices and support.

  • Ability to prioritize and efficiently execute a high volume and broad scope of tasks within tight deadlines, competing demands, and changes in the work environment
  • Strong sense of business ethics including the ability to appropriately handle confidential information 
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and collaborate with others
  • Prior experience with an HRIS database is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient with Google Workspace

Education & Experience

  • A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Two (2) years of work experience in an HR or administrative-related role.
  • Experience with international employment laws (EU/Asia) preferred.
  • A relevant license/certification is preferred.

Travel requirements vary and depend on the nature of the role and project of assignment(s); employees should refer to their individual employment contract for their agreed-upon travel requirements.
