Todd Upton brings over 20 years of extensive experience in life sciences and bioproduction systems. With a proven track record in business and program management, his expertise encompasses leading large, cross-functional teams to successfully bring innovative technologies to market, including the commercialization of a first-of-its-kind adherent bioproduction platform. Under his leadership at Corning Life Sciences, Todd managed complex technology and process teams, guiding a bench-scale system from research to full commercialization within just two years, all while ensuring compliance with cGMP standards. 

In addition to his hands-on leadership in bioproduction, Todd is an expert in innovation management and portfolio optimization. He has a demonstrated ability to work with business leaders to fine-tune business plans, develop strategic initiatives, and maximize return on investment for new product portfolios. Todd’s’ work in refining product development processes, from conceptualization to commercialization, has significantly enhanced the efficiency of new product launches within the life sciences industry.

Beyond his work at Corning, Todd’s early career includes research management in stem cell biology and adjunct teaching roles, where he developed cell culture coursework. Certified in project management and process improvement methodologies, Todd combines his leadership skills with a robust scientific foundation to drive business growth, customer success, and innovation across the bioproduction and life sciences sectors.
